Esther Meynell (1878 – 1955; nee Moorhouse) was an English author who lived in Sussex. As well as the many books she wrote about Sussex, she also wrote Science Fiction. She is best known for her autobiographies: The Little Chronicle of Magdalena Bach (1925), Nelson’s Lady Hamilton (1906), and Samuel Pepys: Administrator, Observer, Gossip (1909).
